*Abacus.Ai Claw LLM Credit Consumption Issue: A Cause for Concern*
Three days ago, I attempted to explore the features of OpenClaw using the "Deploy OpenClaw In Seconds" button. However, I didn't create any automation, and simply closed the interface after getting a general overview. Upon reviewing my credit usage history, I was shocked to discover that the Claw LLM had consumed a significant amount of credits in just three days. Furthermore, credit usage continued even with every page refresh, and I was unable to prevent background agents from entering the OpenClaw computer panel.
Unchecked Credit Consumption and Lack of Transparency
The issue at hand is that the credit usage billing is not transparent. Prior to this incident, I had tested the Abacus desktop Code editor to write some Python code with AI agents. After just one hour, I had exhausted all my credits, prompting me to upgrade my subscription from the standard to the $20 pro plan. This move was supposed to provide more credits and an agent usage limit. However, my credits continued to be used at the same rate as before, even on the Pro plan. I even purchased additional $10 credits, but to no avail. Now, I'm left with "0" credits and will have to wait three weeks for my subscription to reset.
Documentation and Clarity Issues
What's particularly frustrating is the lack of clear documentation regarding the credit system. Specifically, I couldn't find any information on:
* What happens in the background when using different AI models
* The credit per dollar rate (how many credits are charged per dollar)
* The agent workflow behind the scenes
Without this crucial information, the credit system feels arbitrary and difficult to track.
Support and Resolution
I submitted this issue to Abacus support with relevant screenshots, but unfortunately, I haven't received a response yet. The support seems to be unresponsive, which is concerning. To resolve the issue, I had to perform a hard reset of the cloud computer, which eventually stopped the credit consumption. However, the Claw LLM had already consumed approximately 7000 credits. I hope that Abacus takes this issue seriously and addresses the problems with their credit system and support.
